Firstly, we started our first ICPD lesson with MODULE OVERVIEW.ππ
ππCP5065 Introduction to Chemical Product Design (ICPD)ππ
π© Why do we need to study this module?
★ To develop its learner with an aptitude for chemical product design.
As usual, the tradition of the SP DCHE teaching technique, the cdio concept, was implemented in the module teaching.
π© Do you still remember what cdio stands for?
Let us help you to do some recap…
★ An innovative educational framework for producing the next generation of enginers by practising the concept of
C π Conceive
D π Design
I π Implement
O π Operate
And not forgetting, the teaching plan, as well as the assessments of this module, was introduced to us. πππ
-------------------------π§π§♀️π§♂️π§ TEAM FORMATION π§π§♀️π§♂️π§ -----------------------------------
ICPD actually was a team-based module. As “many hands make light work”, we can't design and invent a product by ourselves; our team members are there to help us. ❤️ 𧑠π π
According to Bruce Tuckman's, there are 5 stages of the team formation model for a team to grow. π
π STAGES OF TEAM FORMATION MODEL
Forming
Most group members are overly polite and are still extremely excited about what their future may hold.
They'll be looking to the team leader for direction.
Storming
People start to push against the established boundaries.
They may challenge team leader authority or management style, or even the team's mission.
Norming
People start to resolve their differences, appreciate one another's strengths, and respect the authority as a leader.
They'll share a stronger commitment to the team's goals, and they should make good progress toward it.
Performing
With hard work and structured processes, the team is likely to achieve its goals efficiently.
Adjourning
The end of the assessment !!!
To better understand this 5 stages team formation model, you can access the link below to watch the video. Don't forget to give a thumbs up π for the video !!
To achieve better teamwork, our group decided to assign each of eb=veryone with their roles and responsibility.
---------------------------------- π DOCUMENTATION π------------------------------------
π© Why do we need to learn and practice documentation?
★ Keep track of the work progression
★ Avoid confusion and misunderstanding during the discussion
★ Act as a reminder
★ Class note
By posting our documentation on the blog page, we can share our note with our peers, and this can help achieve a WIN-WIN situation, as " WHEN WE SHARE, EVERYBODY WIN." π€π€π€
Here stat our journey on blogging ~~~~
------------------------------------- 1️⃣ LESSON: CHEMICAL PRODUCT ---------------------------------
π© Do you know what chemical products and chemical product designs are?
★ Chemical product - A product that is designed using chemical engineering principles
★ Chemical product designs - The process of designing the chemical product
π© Chemical Engineering Principles
π© Category of Chemical Products
★ Commodities
★ Chemical devices
★ Molecular products
★ MIcro-structured products
π©Chemical Devices
★ Miniature processes which accomplish a particular chemical transformation
★ Provides convenience.
-------------------------------------✍️Today’s HOMEWORK ✍️---------------------------------
Describe how chemical engineering principles have been applied in the design and/ or manufacture of the identified chemical product
